DEVICES FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF TUBERCULOSIS

MYCOPROSAFE®:

MYCOPROSAFE® is a sample decontamination and concentration kit for sputum and other clinical samples. It allows safe and easy preparation of clinical samples for microscopy, culture and molecular laboratory methods for the identification and isolation of mycobacteria. Samples such as sputum, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BAL), gastric fluid, pleural, pericardial, peritoneal fluids and urine may all be collected using MYCOPROSAFE®.

The kit contains additives including sodium hydroxide-sodium citrate solution, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, and phosphate buffer. These additives, utilized according to the body fluid collected, treat and prepare the sample to facilitate sample evaluation.

MYCOPROSAFE® contains the correct quantity of each additive individually packed, for treatment of each sample, avoiding any risk of cross-contamination.
Upon completion of each sample treatment, an antiseptic solution, included in MYCOPROSAFE® , is poured into the sample contaminated tubes to kill any potential pathogen. Then the kit may be disposed of safely.

TK MEDIA®:

TK MEDIA® is the most innovative rapid mycobacterial culture system on the market with significant advantages over its competitors:

TK MEDIA®, is the only rapid culture system on the world market which differentiates real mycobacterial growth from contamination!

TK MEDIA® indicates growth of mycobacteria by changing its color allowing differentiation from contamination prior to microscopic examination.
The metabolic activity of bacteria changes the color of the medium for a positive identification long before bacteria colonies appear.

TK MEDIA® also permits susceptibility testing and
M. tuberculosis complex - MOTT (Mycobacterium Other Than Tuberculosis) differentiation.

TK MEDIA® is a practical, low-cost, safe and secure test that works without the use of radioactivity or U.V. light.

MYCO TYPE ALL®:

MYCO TYPE ALL®, a molecular mycobacteria-species identification kit, trumps all existing methods. While the other methods can only type some strains of mycobacteria, MYCO TYPE ALL® is the only existing method that types all of them. MYCO TYPE ALL® uses an improved "hsp65-PRA" (heat shock protein 65, Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Enzyme Analysis) method that is an easy and rapid method for the species identification of mycobacteria. This kit includes material for determination of DNA restriction enzyme profiles for all hsp65 genes of all known mycobacterial species.

RAPID ANTIBIOTIC SUSCEPTIBILITY TEST

QUICOLOR®:

QUICOLOR® is one of the cheapest, most reliable and fastest antibiotic susceptibility test on the market. It is a special medium containing a color indicator. The application is exactly the same as the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method but instead of using Mueller-Hinton Medium, QUICOLOR® is used. The traditional Kirby-Bauer disk method requires overnight incubation to grow the bacterial layer and for inhibition zones to become visible. By contrast, QUICOLOR® enables observation of inhibition zones within 4 to 6 hours by changing color in response to the metabolic activity of the bacteria, even before the bacterial layer has had an opportunity to grow.

QUICOLOR® also enables determination of ESBL (extended spectrum beta lactamase) within 4 to 6 hours.

QUICOLOR® is available in two formulations:

READY-TO-USE CATALASE TEST AND OXYDASE STICKS

Why bother with reagents, bottles, solutions, etc. ???

CATACHECK®:

Use CATACHECK® to identify the presence of catalase to differentiate Streptococci and Staphylococci within seconds!!!

CATACHECK® is like noting you have seen before. CATACHECK® is the world's first and only ready-to-use catalase test.

OXYCHECK®:

Use OXYCHECK®, clear cut oxydase sticks to identify the presence of oxydase. OXYCHECK® is your quick guide to differentiate enterobacteriaceae from non-fermentative bacteria.

READY-TO-USE CULTURE MEDIA

SALUBRIS MICROBIOLOGICAL CULTURE MEDIA®:

SALUBRIS MICROBIOLOGICAL CULTURE MEDIA® (SMCM®) is a line of ready-to-use microbiological culture media (more than 50 references). It includes special media like chocolate agar with horse blood and bacitracin.

BACIT-A®:

BACIT-A® is a two-section blood agar plate, one side containing bacitracin. The bacitracin containing section selectively inhibits growth of Group A beta hemolytic streptococci, the leading causative agent of bacterial throat infection, and thus allows its rapid identification. It eliminates the need for bacitracin disk test and thus saves 24 hours. This simple but revolutionary idea of SALUBRIS-R&D, created BACIT-A® and changed the routine of throat cultures.
